About Us

Angels at Play is a privately owned childcenter, nestled on a family farm in Dinwiddie County, VA.  Because of our location your child may participate in nature walks around the farm and see various farm animals in their natural surroundings.  Angels at Play Childcare Center has been open since 2006 and is proud to be apart of the Dinwiddie Community.

Many of our staff have over 20+ years of childcare experience and are dedicated in providing your child with the best care possible.  We have staff certified in First Aid/CPR as well as the EMAT program.  Our staff participates in ongoing annual trainings as well as many are continuing their education to a child related degree.  Background checks are done on all staff upon hiring and periodically thereafter.

Here at Angels at Play, we believe that children learn best through play.  Therefore we have set up the classroom to be a learning environment for the child to explore and to use their creative abilities to learn more about the world around them.  Not only do the children learn through play at the center, but also by teacher directed activities that are offered in fun, age appropriate ways that the children will enjoy.  Children will enjoy the unit based curriculum as well as the Appelbaum Curriculum that we use to make their learning exciting and educational.  We also believe at Angels at Play that there is a strong need for teaching children manners, proper conduct and biblical principles.  Children are encouraged to say please, thank you, excuse me, yes sir, no sir, etc.  We also teach biblical principles such as saying our blessings before meals or snacks, praying for those that may be sick, helping others in need, etc.
